Laura and Jonathan Nelms with Georgian Ambassador David Bakradze

Georgian SUPRA Restaurant was included in the DC Michelin Guide this year as one of the District’s 19 new “Bib Gourmand” restaurants: ‘Supra is helmed by the previous executive chef at the Embassy of Georgia in Washington. The quality of ingredients, the style, the Georgian wine list, the attention to detail — this is a new kind of restaurant for D.C., and it’s off to a fantastic start

SUPRA is owned by Laura and Jonathan Nelms. As a partner at Baker McKenzie law firm, Jonathan worked in Moscow for three years, where frequented Georgian restaurants and made several trips to Georgia. And that’s how his love affair with Georgia started. When he and his wife returned stateside, they missed the food and wine and started looking for ways to bring it to DC. Now, we all can enjoy authentic Georgian food in Washington DC (1205 11th St., NW )
