In order to obtain an Electronic ID Card, it is mandatory to appear at the Embassy of Georgia in Washington DC in person by scheduling an appointment in advance
Appointment Instructions
Electronic ID Cards issued for citizens under age of 18 will have 4-years validity. Electronic Identity Cards issued for citizens over the age of 18 will have 10-year validity
Please bring the following documents:
1) Copy of Identity Card, Passport or Birth Certificate;
2) A money order in the amount of $30 USD written out to the Embassy of Georgia in Washington DC;
3) A prepaid envelope with a return address if a citizen would like his/her Electronic ID Card to be sent by mail.
Please note that the Electronic ID Card will be completed within 45 days after the application and necessary documents are submitted
