Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia spoke at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) on Georgia’s pro-Western foreign policy agenda, security threats, and the challenges that Georgia will face moving forward. In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted Georgia’s important role in the Black Sea region, the security challenges facing the region, Georgia’s occupied territories and highlighted the country’s commitment to Western integration amid increasing Russian aggression and hybrid warfare attacks.
Prime Minister Gakharia made it clear that Georgia is a reliable security partner for Europe, the United States and NATO. He emphasized Georgia’s progress in its path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration and underscored the nation’s ambitions to become a regional hub for transport communications, connecting Europe and the East. The Prime Minister stressed the nation’s desire for NATO membership and its commitment to the region’s peace, stability, and security.
