Georgia hosts first in-person UN World Tourism Organization conference in Tbilisi. In September, Georgia successfully hosted the first in-person and Covid-19 compliant UN World Tourism Organization conference. The event was the first large scale UN meeting abroad since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic and highlights Georgia’s success controlling the disease while showcasing itself as a Western-oriented country aspiring for EU integration and NATO membership.
Geocase writes “Peace in the South Caucasus is the only common goal.” Geocase, a Tbilisi based think tank wrote a piece on the South Caucuses from the Georgian perspective. The piece highlights Georgia’s willingness to facilitate a dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan and how Georgia has long been committed to the peace in the South Caucuses.
Emerging Europe published a piece on Georgia’s startups and investment. The piece highlights the benefits of investing in Georgian startups which include Georgia’s strategic location between Europe and Central Asia, low cost of living, and visa programs, to name a few.

A Georgian coffee factory was built by local architects in a geometric concrete building with a green roof. Coffee Production Plant, a Georgian coffee factory, was built in a modern L-shaped concrete building with a green roof by local Georgian architects, Giorgi Khmaladze Architects. The building is on the list for business building of the year at Deezen Awards 2020 and was built so its appearance changes throughout the day “producing an interplay of light and shadows.”
