At the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations, Prime Minister Gakharia made impassioned remarks about the aspiration of Georgia to live free from Russian interference and to continue to build a nation committed to Western values, democracy and free markets.
As he did in his visit to Brussels, Gakharia made clear that Georgia is “a nation committed to Western values.” Essential to the wishes of the people of Georgia to embrace Western civilization, Gakharia reiterated the nation’s deep-seated desire to join NATO and the European Union and continue to forge global alliances that maintain peace, stability and democracy.
