The government of Georgia formally announced the launch of a new state program called, “Remotely from Georgia” to allow citizens from 95 countries to travel and work remotely during the global pandemic as Georgia has the image of epidemiologically safe country.
Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia enthusiastically embraces the new program: “I am excited to invite the world to make Georgia your global workplace. Thousands have already applied. Georgia is ready to safely host businessmen and women from all around the world to our business-friendly country. As you know, Georgia has been widely praised for our diligence and safety record with Covid-19 and we will bring that same level of focus to keep our global business travelers safe and secure.”
‘Remotely from Georgia’ is designed for freelancers, full-time employees or business owners who are able to stay in Georgia for at least 360 days without a visa per their passport or other travel document. More than 200 foreigners from around the world have already applied to work remotely in Georgia.
