Following his visit to Brussels, the President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili pays a working visit to the United States. The visit aims to strengthen the US support for Georgia’s security and promote Georgia’s NATO integration process.
As part of the visit, President Margvelashvili will hold meetings with the US Senators and Congressmen, including the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy.
President Margvelashvili will take part in the conference “US-Georgia Partnership” to be held with the support of the Atlantic Council. He will deliver a public lecture at Georgetown University and meet with the Atlantic Council, NDI and IRI leaderships. President Margvelashvili will also participate in a round-table discussion at the Hudson Institute and deliver a speech at Heritage Foundation.
In Washington D.C., President Margvelashvili will meet with Georgian diaspora representatives. Official reception of the President will be held in the United States Capitol.
Georgian delegation to visit the United States includes the Head of Administration of the President, Giorgi Abashishvili, Secretary of the National Security Council, Davit Rakviashvili, Advisor to the President for Foreign Affairs, Tengiz Pkhaladze, Parliamentary Secretary of the President, Ana Natsvlishvili and the Ambassador of Georgia to the United States, David Bakradze.
The visit will end on March 16.
