American Venture Capital firm “500 Startups” enters a partnership with Bank of Georgia and GITA to help build a thriving ecosystem for Georgian startups.

The Bank of Georgia, in partnership with GITA, officially welcomed 500 startups at the agreement-signing ceremony on February 20th.

500 Startups- commonly referred to as “500”-is an American venture capital firm from San Francisco, CA, on a mission to discover and support the world’s most talented entrepreneurs, help create successful companies at scale & build thriving global ecosystems.

Notable investments in the 500 portfolio include Credit Karma, Twilio, Canva, Grab, Bukalapak, The RealReal, Talkdesk, Knotel, Udemy, and Ipsy.

500 Startups will help Georgian startups expand their connections with founders and mentors of successful companies in an effort to enhance their innovative products. With four months acceleration program, the Georgian startups will receive training in marketing, product design, sales, and other necessary skills.

CEO of Bank of Georgia, Zura Gachechiladze lauded the partnership with the large VC firm and announced a 1 million USD investment for the program.
